Using the GoalMASTERY Annual Goal Planner to Achieve Goals

The GoalMASTERY Annual Goal Planner can help you formulate and achieve your goals in all aspects of life and ultimately help you in business. The planner will enable you to implement disciplines that lead to goal achievement and the ability to work smarter, make more money, and take more time off![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The GoalMASTERY Annual Goal Planner begins with jumpstarting your thinking on the why and how of goal setting. These include articles I’ve written on goals, plus GoalMASTERY quotes from one of our books, SalesMastery Book of Quotes. There is also a particularly rich resource, Goal Setting Ideas: Where Do You Need More Punch?, which applies to goal setting in business.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Step One:
Set Your Goals

The first thing to understand is that we break out over 100 goals spread over 10 categories. Look at the categories and start writing things down. Take all the things that are brewing around in your head about what you want and what you want to accomplish.  Write them all down in relation to spirituality, relationships, fitness, finances, physical environment, and time management.

Those aren’t all the areas of life that need attention. The next page has sections in which to record your goals about your career, business development,  real estate, leisure (including the four vacations a year that I want you to be taking), and personal development. There are also two columns in which you can add your own categories.

Step Two:
Pick Your Top Ten

The plan in these pages is to list 100 goals. Once you get the 100 written, it’s time to go back over those goal pages, choose the ten most important, and fill out the page reserved for them.

Step Three:
Create An Action Plan

On the next five pages, write a plan for each goal; because GoalMASTERY is an editable pdf you can write as much as you want and save it, and you really need to write as much as you can:  keep on thinking and writing and you will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of information you generate. A brief Goal Action Plan SHOWS A LACK OF COMMITMENT! You should be very detailed. It takes days, and weeks, and even months to get the best out of this goal book, but getting the best out of this goal book means getting the best out of yourself.

Beyond the forms, we give you examples. First is Craig Cheeseman, one of our superstars. You can see in his page given how he breaks down his 2013 financial goals, put a lot of energy and effort in it, and has an accountability team. The next example is from Lee Odems, a client of mine in Woodbridge, Virginia, outside of Washington D.C. The year I gave him the form to fill out for 2004, and he brought back 4 pages, including a complete business plan. This was in 2004, and even then we were sending out the Jim Rohn Treasury of Quotes book because Lee included the book in his business plan.

Step Four:
Take The Clean Sweep Assessment

Next in the GoalMASTERY book is a personal development plan called Clean Sweep. I’ve been using this assessment for over twenty years. Clean Sweep is made up of 100 true-or-false questions. Follow the instructions completely to get helpful results. The questions are divided up into four categories:  physical environment, health and emotional balance, money, and relationships. Our average score for first-time takers is 41, so anybody who scores 60, 70, or 80 on this I would have to challenge.

Do not check off a TRUE unless IT IS 100% accurate. Your goal is, whatever your score, to come back and highlight ten in each section so you can gain another ten points within thirty days of taking the questionnaire. If you need a copy of just the Clean Sweep Program, we can give it to you.

In addition to the Clean Sweep, there is an goal action plan one that I did years ago—a plan to lose ten pounds over the holidays. I wrote it out and it follows exactly the format of the GoalMASTERY action plan form. Don’t let the holidays get the best of your energy! You want to start the New Year in good physical condition so you don’t have anything keeping you from meeting all your goals.

Step Five:
Follow Through Week By Week

Now go back to the beginning and look at the goals that didn’t make it into the top 10 list. Put these into the weekly calendar. First, take two of your Spirituality goals and work on them for two weeks. Then work on two Finances goals, Relationship goals, and so on. In addition to this, the calendar includes a day timer that you can use as a time log and a miniature Personal Minimum Standards system on which to track your progress. Tracking your progress will help encourage you throughout the year.

The GoalMASTERY Annual Goal Planner isn’t just for business and isn’t just for personal development: it’s for all aspects of your life. If you don’t use it, you won’t get anything from it. For those of you who use it, it can focus your discipline, tenacity, and implementation to launch you into your best year yet! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see what goals you need and achieve them with GoalMASTERY!
