New Year. New You?

2021 Has Ended

What was this last year like for you? 2020 was pretty crazy, wasn’t it? Was 2021 just as hectic for you, or did you get a little bit of a respite? Regardless of how the year was, how did you use it to improve your sales? That’s what it’s all about, after all. Taking whatever the world throws at you figuring out how to turn it around, and using it to drive you to get more sales.

 Did 2021 Work For You?

How well were you able to go out and get sales in 2021? This year had a lot of unique challenges to it. There was inflation, labor shortages, shipping issues, and a Covid resurgence. Those could have all slowed you down, but with the right attitude, they also could have been a driving force. After all, every crisis can also be an opportunity. Take a good hard look at this year and ask yourself what worked and what didn’t. What helped you make sales, and what hindered you? What should you keep going forward? What should you change?

Make 2022 Yours

Don’t go passively into 2022. Did this last year work for you? Then figure out what you can do to make this year even better. Don’t let that momentum go to waste. If this was your best year in the past ten years, aim to make it the worst year of the next ten years. And if 2021 slowed you down? Then that’s even more reason to keep pushing forward. Great sales are all about perseverance. If you took a licking this year, you owe it to yourself to get back up and show the world what you’re made of in 2022.

Auld Lang Syne

The New Year is great for sales because it reminds us of the very heart of growing as a salesperson. You have to be willing to look back on the past and take lessons from it, but then you’ve gotta move on and focus on the future. Was last year terrible? Then make this one better. Was last year great? Then make it last another year. Whatever this year was like for you, learn from it and use it to drive you forward. Make 2022 the year you top every sales record you have.
